- discussing differences between simple and continuous in different forms (past, present, perfects, modals...)
Some interesting language:
- emotional blackmail
- to vote with your feet
- to exacerbate
- t swat / a fly-swatter
- to load /to unload / loads of... (quantifier)
- When the cat's away, the mice will play!
Be careful with:
- the use of the perfect
- describes something previous to a moment (does not define the moment a thing happened, but rather it's impact at the moment we are describing)
- I'm hungry - I haven't had breakfast
- I was hungry - I hadn't had breakfast
- I will have retired by the time I'm 40 years old!
